SUNGLASSES

UV protection and polarisation. Know the difference.

Ask about both characteristics when choosing lenses.

UV protection

Check the stated UVA and UVB protection. Colour and darkness alone do not tell you how much UV radiation is filtered.

Polarised lenses

Reduce certain reflections from surfaces such as water or roads and can improve comfort. Polarisation does not replace checking UV protection.

Colour and tint

Tint and filter intensity affect visible light and colour perception. Choose according to the environment and use.

SUNGLASSES

See clearly in the sun, with your prescription.

If you wear prescription glasses, we can assess prescription sunglasses. Single vision and progressive options depend on the prescription, frame and lenses.

Single vision

Correction for one viewing distance, chosen according to use.

Progressive

Distance, intermediate and near areas in one pair, with sunglass options available.

Frame and curvature

Not every combination is possible. We assess dimensions, curvature and prescription compatibility.

SUNGLASSES

In the city. Outdoors. Behind the wheel.

Your routine guides the choice.

Everyday use

Balance comfort, protection and a frame you enjoy wearing.

Near water

If reflections bother you, ask about polarised options and also check UV protection.

Driving

Choose lenses suitable for daytime driving and check dashboard visibility. Some polarised lenses can affect screen visibility.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Clear answers.
Before you choose.

Do darker lenses offer better UV protection?

Not necessarily. Darkness does not indicate UV protection. Check the stated protection as well as choosing a comfortable tint.

Are polarisation and UV protection the same?

No. Polarisation reduces certain reflected glare. UV protection filters ultraviolet radiation. Check both separately.

Can sunglasses have prescription lenses?

Yes. Suitability depends on the prescription, frame, curvature and lens type. We assess the options with you.

Are polarised lenses suitable for driving?

They may help reduce road glare, but consider lens type and dashboard or screen visibility. Sunglasses should not be used for night driving.

Can I use my existing frame?

We can assess it in store. Suitability depends on frame condition and compatibility with the lenses and prescription.

How much do sunglasses cost?

Price depends on the frame, lenses, prescription and chosen options. We explain alternatives and the quotation before you decide.
